How far are the ski slopes from the hotel?
The Pohorje gondola cable car station is just a short walk from Hotel Pohorje. From there, you can reach the ski slopes in minutes. The hotel is located at Pohorska ulica 49, right at the foot of the mountain.
Cable car & lift operating hours
The Pohorje gondola (KKŽ) typically operates daily during the winter season. Daytime skiing runs from 8:00 to 15:00 or 16:00 depending on the month. Night skiing is available on select evenings. Check visitpohorje.si for the latest schedule.
Where can I rent ski equipment?
Ski and snowboard rental shops are available at the base of the gondola station near the hotel, as well as at the top of the mountain. Full equipment sets including helmets and boots are available for adults and children.
Is there a ski school on Pohorje?
Yes, Mariborsko Pohorje has ski schools offering lessons for beginners and children. Group and private lessons are available in multiple languages.
How do I get to Pohorje without a car?
A dedicated ski bus connects Maribor city centre to the Pohorje cable car station during the winter season. Bus line #6 also stops near the hotel. The hotel offers free parking for those arriving by car.
Where to eat on the mountain?
Several mountain huts and restaurants are scattered across Pohorje, serving traditional Slovenian dishes and warm drinks. Back at the hotel, our on-site restaurant offers locally inspired cuisine after a day on the slopes.
